Tour Description“20 years since the fall of the wall – 20 years of Berlin in transition”. This tour runs along the original stretch of the wall. During this tour you’ll get to see and learn about key locations during the cold war as well as see some still standing structures from that time. You’ll be on the main stage where an important part of world history played out.
While the tour takes you over the cobbled stones of the former Wall you will learn much about Berlin as a divided city, the blockade and the many escape attempts.
Information on the wall memorial on Bernauer street and the east side gallery. It will also take you by the holocaust memorial, the Russian embassy, Berlin Cathedral, Red Town hall and the pointy Berlin TV tower.
Among the other sights you’ll see is the Brandenburger gate, the Parliament building, Potsdamer platz, the remnants of the wall on Niederkirchner street and of course the famous Checkpoint Charlie.

XL-Tour
The extended version also includes the East side gallery, which is a 1.3 km section of wall still standing over by Ostbahnhof. It overlooks the Oberbaum bridge and the O2 arena. The gallery itself is a number of graffiti paintings by artists from around the world portraying a Europe divided. To the 20-year-old jubilee of the East side gallery all pictures will be restored.
